Patch Notes – Update 11. Juni
Today brings our free Days of Summer game content update to Xbox One and PC, plus the return of Alcatraz on PS4 with two new destinations on PS4, our new Barebones Objective Moshpit playlist in MP, updates to the MX9, S6 Stingray, Locus, and Ballistic Knife, as well as new gameplay and performance improvements thanks in part to reports from the community.
Our Community Challenge is now live on all platforms, continuing this week on PS4 and launching today on Xbox One and PC. Once the community completes 15 million matches collectively, everyone gets the Grav assault rifle in Multiplayer!
All players in Multiplayer now get access to the free Grind map, Capture the Flag, and our new Barebones Objective Moshpit playlist featuring classic Barebones gameplay in Domination, Control, Hardpoint, Safeguard, and Search and Destroy.
Blackout players on all platforms get new summer map updates in the main map including water balloons and coolers packed with Paint Can bundles, plus post-flood map changes, our new 50 v. 50 Ground War game mode, the new Attack Helicopter vehicle, and access to Outrider’s Hawk.
And in Zombies, say hello to the new “Labours of Hercules” Gauntlet, new Epic Elixirs, Gauntlet Leaderboards, and support for new weapons, Mastercrafts, MKII Weapons, and Grav assault rifle attachments. Check out the patch notes below for the all the details on what’s new across all modes.
Alcatraz Returns with New Destinations on PS4Alcatraz is back this week on PS4, and we’ve added two new destinations! On one side of the island, a multi-level Submarine has appeared, which might look familiar to fans of Icebreaker in MP. On the other end, a torn-apart Shipwreck has run ashore, allowing players to jump between different levels and fight at tilted angles. This offers new cover and vantage points toward the cliffs, with new gameplay options in the shallows between the main island and the small island.
On the island itself, one of the cell blocks has mysteriously vanished from the main Cellhouse, changing sightlines and creating a new open space in the center of the building. The roof is open to this area, creating a new landing point and new grappling and combat opportunities. This change also improves navigation and makes it easier for players to engage without sacrificing that close-quarters feel.
