Mit dem Xbox Game Pass Abo-Dienst bekommt ihr Zugriff auf über 100 ausgewählte Spiele für eine Gebühr von $9,99 pro Monat. Darüber Hinaus erhalten die Mitglieder einen Rabatt auf ausgewählte Xbox One Spiele und Zusatzinhalte wie Season Pass Erweiterungen und andere Add-Ons. Die Onlinebibliothek soll zudem kontinuierlich um zusätzliche Spiele erweitert werden. Dabei beinhaltet der Xbox Game Pass neben Spielen für Xbox One auch abwärtskompatibele Xbox 360 Titel. Zu den Teilnehmenden Publishern zum Launch gehören 2K, 505 Games, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Capcom, Codemasters, Deep Silver, Focus Home Interactive, SEGA, SNK CORPORATION, THQ Nordic GmbH, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment und Microsoft Studios.

Ab dem 1. Juni 2017 können alle Spieler den Gamepass abonieren.
